MY PROCESS
I get inspiration from the natural world around me, especially the "creepy creatures". I start by finding references of the subject I want to create. I then draw sketches, translating the natural forms into shapes that will work with punch needle. I then trace my pattern onto monk's cloth, stretch it on my frame, and select the yarns that will bring the piece to life. I do all of my punching by hand (no tufting guns), and can turn my pieces into pillows, wall hangings, or rugs.
PILLOWS, RUGS, AND HOOPS
All of my punch needle creations are made with the Oxford punch needle #10, bulky yarn, and monk's cloth. The yarn type depends on the purpose - rugs are made with either 100% wool or 50/50 wool/acrylic, while pillows and other pieces are typically acrylic. My goal is to create sturdy, high quality pieces your family can enjoy for years to come.
PATTERNS AND KITS
Looking to make your own pieces? I sell patterns so that you can enjoy the wonders of the punch needle craft. They are great for anyone who already has the basic supplies. I am working on developing my own kits and supplies - so stay tuned!
